Here are some pros and cons of the American Express® AIR MILES®* Reserve Credit Card:
Because it’s a credit card, American Express will want to see that you have good credit to qualify for this card. They will want to see that you have a long history of making timely payments. Aside from having good credit, you’ll need to be a Canadian resident and have a Canadian credit file to apply. You’ll also need to be the age of majority where you live.
Be sure to ask to have your balance from other credit cards transferred at the time of your application to take advantage of special offers. You’ll get six months of payments at 1.99% interest rate. You can also ask to have half of your credit limit transferred up to $7,500 with no balance fee when you apply for your Reserve Card.
To apply, visit the American Express website and click on the Apply Now button. American Express states that you’ll know whether or not you qualify within 60 seconds. You’ll need to fill out your personal information, contact details and financial information. It helps to have all of your information right in front of you when it’s time to apply to make the process go faster.
